Award Winning Design at Fuse Integration

Last year I was given the amazing opportunity to work at Fuse Integration to do some awesome military design work. Fuse is a San Diego based, warfighter focused, design and engineering firm. While there one of the many projects I worked on was the Core product line.

CORE is a ruggedized, small form-factor, mobile server running a flexible software defined networking environment with cutting edge cybersecurity tools and proven secure encryption for separation of sensitive data from public networks. Tested to MIL-STD-810G environmental, MIL-STD-461G electromagnetic, MIL-STD-704F power, and cybersecurity requirements, CORE is proven to function in harsh airborne and mobile environments.

The process was incredibly educational and humbling as the more I learned, the more I realized I needed to learn. The team of people I worked with were incredibly talented and hardworking. To see the product go from digital 3d model to physically machined metal and assembled was amazing. Having the design pass some rigorous United States Military Standards further validated the design.

This past fall Fuse was awarded the Connect 2017 Most Innovative Product Award in the Defense, Aerospace, and Transportation Category.

Thanks again to everyone at Fuse, including Sumner Lee, who taught me the importance of Trust, Communication, and the ability to Get Shit Done.
